Tips for Sauna Use
Unlike traditional sauna, infrared heats the body directly. Air temperature in the sauna is not as important as the type and quality of the infrared being received. During a 30 minute sauna session, the air temperature will reach between 46-52C.
– Opening the roof vent and/or door allows fresh air to enter the sauna. This will not decrease its effectiveness and can be done to help you acclimate to the temperature or if you feel overheated.
– Towel off during your session. This will help the body perspire more freely.
– Drink liquids prior to and after your session. Water and Electrolytes are best.
– To relieve sore and tight muscles, massage these areas for faster healing and effectiveness.
– Oil and Lotions tend to decrease perspiration by blocking pores. Apply these AFTER your session for best results.
– Some minerals can be lost in perspiration. Eating a sensible diet including fruits and green leafy vegetables will replace these. Supplements can also be taken to replenish minerals.
– Limit food intake an hour before your sauna session. Your body will be able to detox more effectively because it will not be using that energy for digestion.
– Use at least 2-3 towels for maximum comfort.
1 – Sit on one towel folded over several times for added cushioning.
2 – Use another towel on the floor to absorb extra perspiration.
– At the first sign of cold or flu, increasing your sauna sessions may be beneficial in boosting your immune system and decreasing the reproductive rate of the viruses.
Audio System The stereo speakers are ready to connect to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth. Open your Bluetooth enabled phone/tablet and locate the device called
Infrared Sauna. Select and you will be connected. If asked for a pairing code, enter 0000. Once you select your playlist, you may wish to put your device outside the sauna door so it doesn’t overheat. If you don’t see the device available, be sure the speakers are turned at the switch above your head to the right.
Chromotherapy Lights The sauna is equipped with special chromotherapy lights. Each colour light has different health benefits. The lights will automatically cycle between colours changing every 8 seconds giving you all the following health benefits:
GREEN: Provides anti-infectious, ant-septic and regenerative stimulation
RED: Activates the circulatory and nervous systems
BLUE: Lubricates joints. Helps address infections, stress, nervous tension
YELLOW: Reactivates and purifies the skin. Helps with indigestion and bodily stress
